I went to see The Pharcyde on Tuesday night, which was quite fun (although obviously not something week-off specific). I missed supporting artiste Reggie Watts, but the few songs I’ve listened to on his website were pretty bland anyway so I’m not acknowledging that as a huge loss. The Pharcyde themselves were… as I’ve said, quite fun. I wouldn’t say amazing, but I enjoyed them.

How about that for detail, eh?

Just one of those things, I suppose – a band, act or artist can do exactly the same things on stage as the next lot, but just not come off as being exciting. In this instance, The Pharcyde did everything ‘right’ but just weren’t as thrilling as a Dilated Peoples or a Mark B & Blade.

I’m sounding overly negative here, because it was a good gig.

Reading that must have been about exciting as my week has been. Oh well. Good to be bored in a slightly different way to usual, I suppose.
